Obituary

Allen G. LeClair, age 93, a resident of New Perspective Senior Living in Howard, Wisconsin was called home to heaven on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Allen was born on April 28, 1932, son of George and Mary (Taddy) LeClair in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Allen married Marilyn Messman on April 23, 1960. Allen enlisted in the Navy and served from 1952 to 1956. He did his basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois where he became a baker for the Navy. He was transferred to San Diego, CA which would be his home base throughout his service. During his service Allen served on the USS Pine Island which was a seaplane tender that would furnish facilities to aircraft carrier throughout the Pacific Ocean. He also served on the USS Hancock Aircraft carrier. After returning to Two Rivers, Allen started working for his cousin as a carpenter. He spent the majority of his career as a carpenter. In the late 70’s he went to Hamiltons to work as a tool and die maker where he retired from. Allen then spent the next several years helping to build his three children their houses and other cottages for friends. He hung up his hammer at age 82. He enjoyed fishing with friends especially at Fox Lake. Allen also enjoyed the yearly deer hunt with his family in Door County. Allen was a wonderful grandfather who loved to play with his grandkids outside helping them build forts.

Allen is survived by his children, Mark (Joy) LeClair of Sherwood, Lori (Steve) Janowski of Howard, and Michael (Bryn) LeClair of Bailey Harbor. Six grandchildren Rachel, Lindley (James), Amanda (Sam), Caleb (Jennifer), Brandon (Sarah), Madelyn (Seth). Great grandchildren, Isiah, Tripp, Jordy, Adaleyn, and Josie. Sister-in-laws, Betty and Connie Messman. Many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Allen is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents, three sisters Doris, Agnes, Ione and eight brothers, Germaine, Rapheal, Sylvester, Rodger, Bernard, David, Jude and Leon LeClair.

Friends may call at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers on Saturday, December 20th from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Officiated by Rev. Dave Pleier.
