Anita M. Wiza, 95, Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born in Two Rivers on August 24, 1930, to the late William and Theresa (Vogl) Scheuer. Anita married Lorian S. Wiza in 1952 at Sacred Heart Church.
Anita was a devoted member of Holy Redeemer Women’s Group. She found great satisfaction in the rhythms of home and garden, and she truly had a gift for growing things. If you could plant it, Anita could grow it – flowers and vegetables flourished under her care. She especially loved canning the fruits of her labor and sharing them with others. Anita was also a wonderful baker, well known and fondly remembered for her amazing apple pie, which became a family favorite. In her quieter times she enjoyed reading and crafting.
Anita is survived by her son Jerome “Jerry” Wiza; nieces Julie Koenig, Sharon Litel; nephews Bruce Scheuer and Jay Scheuer; great niece Sarah Litel; family friends, Jacky (David) Breech, and Douglas Neuser.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lorian; her parents; brothers Vincent (Monica Geigel) Scheuer, Jim Scheuer, George (Donna) Scheuer; sister-in-law Esther (George) Litel; father-in-law and mother-in-law Steve and Frances Wiza; nephew Kriss Litel; and great nephew Craig Litel.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman in Two Rivers. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Knollwood Memorial Park.
