Audrey J. Shambeau, age 94, passed peacefully into eternal life late Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Angelus Senior Living in Manitowoc.
Audrey was born in Two Rivers on April 20, 1932 to Harold and Ruth (Stueck) Meineke. She attended St. John's Lutheran School in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1950 from Washington High School. She was united in marriage to Allan L. Shambeau on June 7, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with four children and 57 years of marriage before Allan preceded her in death, June 14, 2009. The couple owned & operated a dairy farm in the town of Two Rivers for many years. Audrey also worked for Shambeau Sales for many years, retiring in 1989. She was a longtime volunteer, Hand Bell Choir and lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers; member of the Modernistic Homemakers Club, and longtime leader with the Tannery Stars 4-H Club. She was also a member of several card clubs and enjoyed playing many card games, especially sheepshead. Audrey enjoyed going to all of the sporting events that her grandchildren and now great-grandchildren were involved in.
Survivors include her children: Connie (Bill) Rahmlow, Lee (Marion) Shambeau, Larry (Elise) Shambeau, and Julie (Peter) Nass; 12 grandchildren: Dawn (Paul) Creasy, Beth (Scott) Neuser, Sara (Eric) Backhaus, Gareth (Jenna) Shambeau, Simon (Kelsey) Shambeau, Michelle (Humberto) Shambeau-Hernandez, Marc (Kate) Shambeau, Andrea (Joseph) Jost, Mara (Tyler) Morgan, Keren (Thomas) Long, Leah Nass, and Hannah (Benjamin) Newell; along with 28 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Helen Kohlmeier and Ruth Guetschow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth Meineke; her husband, Allan Shambeau; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Walter and Helma Shambeau; one brother, Richard Meineke; one great-granddaughter, Mila Long; and brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Russell (Catherine) Shambeau, Glenn (Beverly) Shambeau, Paul Kohlmeier, and Wally Guetschow.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2026 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service with entombment to be held on Monday at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, Sunday from 1:30 until 3:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. John's Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
