Barbara K. McDonald, age 83, resident of Two Rivers, WI died unexpectedly Monday, June 15, 2026 at her residence.

Barbara was born January 23, 1943 in Jamaica, New York to James and Helen (Crummenauer) Kenny. She was a 1960 graduate of Massapequa High School in New York and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Regents College New York. Barbara worked for many years with the Veterans Administration until her retirement. She was a published author, having published two books over her lifetime. She was a huge animal lover, rescuing many cats and dogs over the years, and also a longtime supporter of many animal shelter charities. Barbara also loved to travel.

She is survived by her two daughters: Debbie (Derek) White of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Kimberly (Richard) Benefiel of Greeley, Colorado; two grandchildren: Mitchell Miner and Mason Rose Miner; and close friend, Jeff McDonald. She is further survived by a cousin, John Kenny; her beloved cats, Bridget and Daisy; along with dear friends and neighbors.

Private family services will be held for Barbara at a later date
