Cathy M. Walesh, age 58, resident of Two Rivers, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Cathy was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on October 1, 1967 to William and Barbara (Dahm) Malley. She completed her education at J.F. Magee Elementary, L.B. Clark Junior High, and graduated from Washington High School in 1986.
After graduating from high school, she briefly enrolled at UW-Stevens Point before pursuing her studies at a travel school in downtown Minneapolis.
Cathy lived and worked in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where she welcomed her three sons into the world.
After her father’s passing, she and her family moved back to her hometown of Two Rivers, bringing them closer to her parents and siblings while also allowing her to lend a hand with the family's business, Malley Printing Company.
Cathy married Bobby Walesh on December 28, 2012, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
For many years, she devoted herself to helping others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a role that brought her great joy and fulfillment. In time, she took on the important responsibility of caring for her mother and found great satisfaction in nurturing her family with love and kindness.
Cathy found joy in countless family moments; among her favorites were bike rides with her brother and visits to the shrine at Our Lady of Good Help with her sisters. She cherished days spent in Door County with her siblings and loved sharing experiences with all of her children, including a memorable trip to Germany with her son Ben. Most recently, she fondly spent quality time with her grandchildren. Cathy had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued. She cherished visiting botanical gardens with her sisters and friends and loved the comforting snuggles with her beloved pet, Reggie.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Cathy cherished her time exploring the trails of Point Beach State Forest, paddling down the river in her kayak, and immersing herself in birdwatching. Her love for nature shone through, especially in her endearing habit of naming every cardinal "Guillermo" in tribute to her father, Bill. Cathy took great pleasure in sharing her wealth of birdwatching knowledge with friends and family, encouraging them to savor the beauty of the natural world around them.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Bobby Walesh; her mother, Barb Malley; her sons: Ben Creelman (special friend, Jen Ivey), Sam Creelman, and Joe Creelman; daughters: Ashlee Walesh (special friend, NJ VandeLeest), Bailee Stubbs (AJ Stubbs), Alexi Walesh (special friend, Matt Simpson); her grandchildren: Lincoln VandeLeest, Adalynn Stubbs, and soon to be Benson Simpson on the way; brother, Steve (Heidi) Malley; sisters: Vicki (Dan) Wotruba, Sue (Mark) Ruminski, Becky (Steve) Funck, and Jenny Bertram (Jason Hein).
