Claudia F. Gilbert, age 81, died unexpectedly on July 28, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Memphis, TN on April 26, 1945, to Claude and Mary Brooks. Claudia graduated with the class of 1964 from Treadwell High School in Memphis. She was united in marriage to George Gilbert in Two Rivers, the two shared many wonderful years of marriage together.

Claudia found great joy in the outdoors, where she loved watching and listening to the wildlife and critters around her home. She and George shared many memorable trips to Michigan, spending days fishing, hunting, and enjoying time at the lake.

A devoted dog lover, Claudia adored her two gentle giants, Yogi and Boo Boo, who brought her endless happiness. When she wasn’t outdoors or spending time with her dogs, Claudia also enjoyed shopping and had a way of always finding the best bargains.

Claudia deeply loved her daughter, Andrea. She never missed a day to talk with her or take a small trip to go spend time with her. She always held Andrea near and dear to her heart.

Above all, Claudia was incredibly proud of her grandson, Evan, for graduating from the police academy. She was always his biggest cheerleader, celebrating his accomplishments and supporting him every step of the way.

Claudia will be greatly missed by her husband, George; daughter, Andrea Hofreiter; and her grandson, Evan; along with many friends here in Two Rivers as well as friends in Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mary Brooks.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held.
