Crystal A. "Crys" (Spychalski) Romdenne, age 67, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, June 5, 2026 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Crystal was born in Two Rivers on August 16, 1958 to Barbara (Blasczyk) Spychalski and the late Eugene E. Spychalski. She attended St. Luke's grade school and graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1976. As a lifelong resident of Two Rivers, Crys worked for Paragon Electric from 1976 to 1999 and The Manitowoc Company from 1999 to 2022 when she retired.
Crys married David A. Romdenne on August 2, 1997 in Two Rivers. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. On summer days, Crys could be found tending to her flowers in the yard, or someone else’s since she was always helping someone with something. She would never hesitate to help, solicited or not. She would often be caught deadheading your flowers. Her laugh was contagious and admittedly most never knew what they were laughing at, but you laughed along with her. She loved her Milwaukee Brewers, her gnome garden, her mornings with coffee, traveling with her kids, and all things purple. Crys was an incredible wife, mother, sister, grandma, daughter, and auntie. She was simply everybody’s favorite. She insisted on family gatherings for every occasion, as a way to keep everyone connected. Crys was the glue that held so many things together. We will all miss her so dearly but promise to do our best to fill those big shoes, which were often glittering and colorful.
Crys is survived by her husband, David; children, Jamie (Eric) Karban, Jason (Kysia) Vanderveren, and Tabatha (Carly) Romdenne; her mother, Barbara Spychalski; siblings: Kathy (Wayne) Blaha, Amy Spychalski, Eugene “Booboo” Spychalski; her grandchildren: Eve Karban and Eli Karban; and one uncle, Lloyd (Rosie) Blasczyk. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Susan (Russ) Romdenne and Jolynn Romdenne; brother-in-law, Joseph (Teresa) Romdenne; many adoring nephews, nieces, great nieces, and great nephews; a step-daughter, Briana Timreck; and two step-grandchildren, Julian and Melanie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Spychalski; grandparents, Frank and Rose Blasczyk; father figure, Sam Boulanger; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joseph and Ardis Romdenne; and a sister-in-law, Connie Welnetz.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will preside at the memorial service.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Monday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
