David J. Anschutz, age 68, a longtime resident of Two Rivers, was unexpectedly called home to be with his Lord on September 7, 2026.
David was born in Milwaukee on April 13, 1958, to the late Darrel and Darlene (DeGrave) Anschutz.
On May 5, 1978, David was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Kim Feest, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Together, they were blessed with 48 years of marriage and three children. Their life together was filled with love, faith, family, and countless cherished memories.
Dave worked for many years as a tool and die maker, including at Paragon, Kohler, and Ariens, before eventually retiring.
Those who knew Dave will remember him most for his joyful spirit, kind heart, and smile. He had a way of bringing happiness and laughter wherever he went. Dave found joy in the little things and had a wonderful way of getting genuinely excited about good news, no matter how big or small. He loved his family and grandchildren deeply. He never missed an opportunity to play with them and was always willing to get down on the floor or ground and join in their fun. His family was his world, and the love he shared with them will be greatly missed.
Dave was also a man of deep and abiding faith. He loved the Lord and placed his trust in God throughout his life. His faith was an important part of who he was.
Dave loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed camping, tending to his garden, and riding the trails up north on his motorcycle. He especially looked forward to his annual Labor Day weekend tradition of trail riding. Dave and Kim also enjoyed traveling together and making memories along the way. In July, they were blessed to take a special trip to Alaska.
Dave had a generous heart and loved being involved in the lives of others. He coached soccer for many years, a role he thoroughly enjoyed, and also coached girls tennis for one year. He was especially proud to serve as a tournament co-director for Roncalli’s annual TRCC volleyball tournament. Through coaching and volunteering, Dave had a positive influence on many young people and was always willing to give his time and lend a helping hand whenever he could.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; their children, Amy (James) Kabrhel, Kevin (Jill) Anschutz, and Steve (Iara) Anschutz; grandchildren, Joshua, Audrey, Natalie, Luke, Noah, and Levi; sister, Gail (Lynn) Soukup; brothers, Mark (Gwen) Anschutz, Randy Anschutz, and Rick (Paula) Anschutz; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Darrel Anschutz; his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Sylvester Parma; and his father- and mother-in-law, Ronald and Donna Feest.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. John Berg will preside at the service. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Dave’s memory consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in his name.
