Donald F. Shavlik, age 89, former Two Rivers resident, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Donald was born in the Town of Franklin on July 3, 1936 to George J. and Verna M. (Oswald) Shavlik, Sr. Following his high school graduation, Don served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Over the years Don lived in several southern States and worked as a self-employed painter/drywaller. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and an occasional visit to the casino.

He is survived by one sister, Joann Allen of Melbourne, Florida; one brother-in-law, Ray Berres of Whitelaw; and several nephews: Terry (Lisa) Shavlik, Randy Shavlik, Daniel (Elissa) Berres, Zachary (Jamie) Berres, Tyghe (Melanie) Vallard, and Dennis, Bruce, and Jay Lyman. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Verna Shavlik, Sr.; one brother & sister-in-law, George and Beverly Shavlik, Jr.; one sister, Kathy Berres; one brother-in-law, Gary Allen; and two nieces.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Deacon Alan Boeldt will preside at the service, with military graveside rites to immediately follow at the funeral home by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers. Burial will take place at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
