Doris Rose Glesner, age 94, longtime resident of Two Rivers, passed away Friday afternoon, April 10, 2026 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.
Doris was born in Mishicot on November 5, 1931 to Charles and Mary (Spitzelberger) Huss. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School and graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1950. She then furthered her education at Holy Family School of Nursing where she earned her nursing degree in 1954. On October 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold Glesner at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Harold preceded her in death March 25, 1994. Doris was employed at Manitowoc Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse for 27 years and later worked at St. Mary's Home until her retirement. She volunteered many years for Holy Family Memorial Hospice; and the Meals-on-Wheels program. She was also a longtime member and volunteer of the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman, and the Two Rivers Senior Center. Doris enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and always loved visiting with and cooking for her children, grandchildren and friends. For many years, Doris enjoyed sewing colorful, personalized surgical hats for the doctors, nurses, and patients of the cardiac cath unit at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Survivors include her children: Mary (Gary) Glaser of Richmond, MN, John Glesner of Sturgeon Bay, David Glesner of Two Rivers, Judy (Al) DeBauche of Springfield, MO, and Lisa (Joe) Richmond of Two Rivers; her grandchildren: Brandon Glaser, Paul (Bridget) Glaser, DJ (Alexis) Neuville, Andy (Miki) Neuville, Gina Neuville (fiance, Brian), Callie (Jeff) Pearson, Travis DeBauche, Jared DeBauche, Christopher Richmond, Michael Richmond, Steven (Katie) Richmond; 22 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Agnes Frank; and one sister-in-law, Mary Jean Kozlowski-Erickson, both of Two Rivers; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends, especially her "nurse sisters" from the class of '54 Holy Family School of Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Huss; husband, Harold Glesner; daughter & son-in-law, Ann (David) Neuville; father & mother-in-law, Clarence and Irma Glesner; three brothers: Hilbert, Carl, and Richard Huss; four sisters & five brothers-in-law: Betty Huss, Mayme (Norbert) Funk, Josephine (Joe) Hruska, Frances (Neal) Strouf, Delmar Frank, Frank Kozlowski; and one sister-in-law, Kathryn (Darryl) Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier, with entombment to take place at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.

Richardson Community Hospice, especially Shayna, Kristen, and Terri for the compassionate care, love and support extended to our mother during her final journey.
