Obituary

Eugene F. "Gene" Bloedorn, age 87 of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, July 5, 2026 at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc.

Gene was born in Brillion, WI on March 10, 1939 to Vera Bloedorn. He was a 1957 graduate of Brillion High School where he excelled in several sports, then proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, having served in Korea. On May 10, 1973 he was united in marriage to Patricia Coenen in Waukegan, Illinois. The couple was blessed with 53 years of marriage. Throughout his working career, Gene worked as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker. He was employed for several years with the Ariens Company of Brillion; he was owner/operator of Estran Corp. in Two Rivers; and retired from Fox Valley Tool & Die. In his younger days, Gene enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing many rounds of golf. He was a huge sports fan, and in his later years enjoyed watching many sporting events on TV.

Gene is survived by his wife, Pat; six children: Dean (Dana Slowiak Bloedorn) Bloedorn, Susan Kramer, Brenda Wiegert, Judy Sleger (special friend, Bruce Steinhauer), Nan (Mike) Saduske, and Jim Bloedorn (special friend, Cheryl Goodman); his grandchildren: Samantha (Kyle) Annen, Jamie (Dan) Breunig, Brittany (Bobby) Rewolinski; Alex Nixon, T.J. (Falila) Nixon, Margaret Nixon, Katherine Nixon (Jake); Alexis and Brooke Wiegert; Caitlin (Mark) Behncke, Courtney Kleist; Daniel, Ashley and Zachary Bloedorn, and Jordan Cox; along with 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Bloedorn.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24th at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street in Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will preside at the service, with burial at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military graveside honors will be accorded at the funeral home immediately following the service by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet friends and relatives at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday, July 24th from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
