Francis "Frank" Bonfigt

Francis “Frank” Bonfigt, age 84, died peacefully Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Garrow Villa in Brillion.

Frank was born in Mishicot, on September 20, 1941, to Ben and Dolores (Hall) Bonfigt. Following his graduation from Mishicot High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country stateside during the Cuban missile crisis.

On September 17, 1963, he was united in marriage to Sharon R. Lodl. She preceded him in death on April 10, 1999. He then married Patricia A. Zunker on September 30, 2006. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2024.

He worked at Formrite for many years, eventually retiring from there.

In Frank’s free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching the Packers and the Brewers play as well as watching racing. He recently picked up new hobbies building puzzles and painting. He enjoyed a good old-fashioned and an Oktoberfest beer with his son-in-law, Dan.

He volunteered and ushered at St. Vincent DePaul (T.R) and drove Trustcar. He was also a member of the Conservation Club in Shoto.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Trisha (Dan) Schumaker; two granddaughters, Nicole Schumaker and Amanda Schumaker; a brother, Benny Bonfigt; a sister, Alice Bonfigt; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Bonfigt; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Dolores Bonfigt, his first wife, Sharon, and his second wife, Pat; brothers, twin Raymond, and Robert; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Bonfigt and Norma Bonfigt.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Father Dave Pleier with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Military honors will immediately follow the mass at the church.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
