Gordon David "Gordy" Miller Jr. age 73, a lifelong resident of Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, August 02, 2025, at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc.
Gordy was born on February 05,1952 in Manitowoc, son of the late Gordon Miller and Alma (Rohl) Miller. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Gordy was a metal worker for much of his career. He also worked at Mirro until he was diagnosed with cancer. His fight to survive lasted 30 yrs. Gordy was definitely the strongest guy we knew. In his younger years, he loved spending time with his Grandma, that's when his interest in cooking began. Gordy was always cooking and making sure everyone had enough to eat. He got many of us to eat things we would have never tried if not for him. His specialty was making Chicken Noodle Soup, right down to making his own noodles, like his Grandma taught him.
From a young age Gordy also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was very good at both. He could filet a fish better than anyone. We're all going to miss those fish frys at Gordy's house. Gordy also enjoyed watching the Packers, collecting antiques, and working on everyone's vehicles.
Gordon is survived by his son, Edward Miller; granddaughters: Devon and Ashley Miller; stepson, Frank Barney; grandson, Gage; granddaughters: Kayla and Alexis; Four Siblings: Tina (Neal) Hilbelink, and nieces: Amy Prelwitz and Maegan Figueroa; Lola Miller; Rory "Tarz" (Shelly) Miller; Tarita Miller, and nephew, Trever Miller. He is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; Gordon Miller and Alma P. Rohl-Leach; granddaughter, Danielle Miller-Koch; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
So quickly you were taken from us. May you find peace as you climb the stairway to Heaven. Sending hugs and kisses along your journey. Miss you forever.
We wish to thank all the ICU RN's for the compassionate care given to Gordy during his short stay.
