Joseph J. Lachowicz, age 68, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully at home on Friday afternoon, September 25th, 2026.

Joe was born in Two Rivers on August 3, 1958 to Joseph and Dorothy (Klutka) Lachowicz. He attended Two Rivers schools graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1976. Joe then enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for four years until being honorably discharged. On May 15, 1987, he married the former Gail Breider at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. After a successful 35 year career at the Kewaunee Nuclear Plant, he retired in 2013 from Dominion Energy. Joe built his dream home in Two Rivers and also maintained a beautiful second home at Sand Bay, a place he and family enjoyed for 65 years. He was an avid golfer (league champion in 2020); he loved to fish and hunt and was very proud of making the record book with his Pope and Young non-typical Buck.

Survivors include his wife, Gail; two sons, Tyler Lachowicz (special friend, Rosalee Bleser) of Manitowoc, and Dusty Lachowicz of New York; two sisters & brothers-in-law: Pat (Jim) Tadych, Marsha (Fred) Rubis; and his 4 year old Goldendoodle “Riley”. He is further survived by his father-in-law, William Breider; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Dawn (Chuck) Finnel, Theresa (Bob) Dahm, William (Julie) Breider III, and Rhonda Williams, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Dorothy Lachowicz; his mother-in-law, Doris Breider; one sister, Chris Stangel; and one nephew, Christopher Tadych.

A celebration of life social will be held for Joe on Sunday, October 4th from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at Lonz’s Tannery Club in Two Rivers.
