Juleen “Jula” J.
Snyder
May 13, 1947 — Oct 7, 2026
Manitowoc
Juleen “Jula” J. Snyder, age 79, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Jula was born in Two Rivers on May 13, 1947, to the late Julius and Marie (Steeber) Filliez. She attended St. Luke’s Catholic School and was a graduate of Washington High School.
On May 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to Steven A. Snyder at St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
Steve preceded her in death on April 5, 2015.
She worked at Hamiltons and eventually retired after almost 40 years of employment.
Jula was an extremely avid fan of the Brewers and Packers. She would have been excited to watch the Brewers potentially making it to the World Series. She cherished spending time with Toby, her grandson. She also enjoyed going to the casino, playing card games with her family and friends, and going up north and on car rides with her late husband — especially during blizzards. Jula looked forward to her regular Wednesday lunches with her good friend, Janis Beilke, and her 11 a.m. soap operas.
The holidays were always an important time for Jula, she loved making everything homemade; including her delicious pies for Thanksgiving and her canned jams. She absolutely loved Christmas. She took great pride in her Christmas trees. Every year she had a different color tree and decorated each of them meticulously by placing each piece of tinsel one by one.
Jula will be missed by her children and their spouses, Juanita Snyder, Steven J. (Tammy) Snyder, Colette (Mark) Schambureck, Preston Snyder, Destiny (Nick) Muñoz, and daughter-in-law Christine Snyder; grandchildren, Lucas DeBauch, Steven L. Snyder, Shelby Snyder, Tyler Schwahn, Darion Swetlik, Allurah Schambureck, Sage Schmidt, Jasmine “Jazzy” Schambureck, Forest Schambureck, Autumn Ryan, Amber House, Maddie Snyder, Phelyx Snyder, Deja Muñoz, Malakai Muñoz, Tobias “Toby” Muñoz; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jula is further survived by her siblings, Karen (Arthur) Bangart, Charles Filliez, Lee (Debbie) Filliez; brothers-in-law, Phillip Snyder, Walter (Nancy) Snyder; sisters-in-law, Yvonne (Donald) Hiley, Diane (Brian) Pillars, and Virginia Zielicke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven A.
