Robert W. "G-Bob" Schwerma, age 69 of Two Rivers, passed away Saturday night, August 2, 2025 at River's Bend Health Services of Manitowoc.
Bob was born in Two Rivers on April 3, 1956 to George and Patricia (LeClair) Schwerma and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of "74" then went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army (1974-1977). Over the years, Bob also received training at various diesel mechanic schools. He was employed with several trucking companies for most of his life, and enjoyed driving semi trucks. Robert was a very devout Christian who counseled many individuals for years at the Mission Bible Training Center in Gaastra, Michigan. G-Bob always enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his three children: Chad Schwerma (special friend, Renee Reimer) of Two Rivers, Russel (Maria) Schwerma of Tennessee, Laurie (Al) Latifi of Kohler, Wisconsin; and his grandchildren: Caitlin Schwerma, William Schwerma, and Arian & Armen Latifi. He is further survived by his brother, William Schwerma (special friend, Michelle Neuser) of Two Creeks; one sister, Catherine Duescher (special friend, Mark Wessely) of Denmark; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Schwerma, and a sister-in-law, Cindy Schwerma.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will preside at the service, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military graveside honors will be accorded by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels Saturday morning after 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation. CASUAL DRESS IS PREFERED !
