Sue A. Hodas, age 64 of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, April 23, 2026 at the North Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Sue was born in Manitowoc on October 18, 1961 to JoAnn (Brockhoff) Hodas. She was a 1980 graduate of Roncalli High School, then furthered her education at Lakeshore Technical College where she earned an associate degree. Sue was employed in the Information Services department at Vollrath Company of Sheboygan for many years. She also worked for Kohler Generator and Duehring's Tax Service of Sheboygan. Sue was an avid sports fan and loved to follow Roncalli Sports, the Wisconsin Badgers, and enjoyed watching basketball (especially March Madness) and football (Dan Marino & JJ Watt being her favorite players to watch). She loved taking trips to Door County with friends; and one of her favorite places to relax was out in the sunshine near any body of water. Her sense of humor could bring laughter to many with her one-liner comments; and she had an incredible memory to remember anyone's birthdate or anniversary date with great accuracy.
She is survived by her son, Shane Johnson of Manitowoc; one sister & brother-in-law, Judi and Rob Diener of Manitowoc; two uncles: Roger (Ardell) Hodas of Madison, and Dan (Coleen) Hodas of Manitowoc; along with cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Hodas; and her grandparents: Joe and Violet Brockhoff, and George and Lucille Hodas.
Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish, 1121 N. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Doug LeCaptain will preside at the memorial mass, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish, Wednesday, May 6th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 12 noon.
