Obituary

Thomas “Tom” Anderson, 46, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2026, with his loving wife, Elizabeth, by his side, after a courageous 16‑month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Tom was born at Two Rivers Community Hospital on May 23, 1979. He was raised and grew up in Two Rivers enjoying the small-town feeling. Tom could be found running through the neighborhood as a kid staying out till the streetlights came on, playing with the other neighborhood kids, riding his bike around the block nonstop or down at Seagull Marina harassing his uncles. He attended St. John’s Lutheran School, Two Rivers Washington High School (class of 1997), Lakeshore Technical College (class of 2005) and UW- Green Bay (class of 2017).

Tom and Elizabeth were married on September 22, 2018, in Kewaunee. Nothing made Tom happier than spending time with the love of his life. They found a joy in attending concerts together and seeing some of their favorite groups all over the country. They especially loved Summerfest and went to concerts in Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. Tom and Elizabeth also enjoyed frequent trips to the Orlando area for vacation and visiting his sister, brother-in-law and nephews - going to the parks, shopping at the outlets, relaxing by the pool, spending time at Disney Springs or doing whatever popped up. Tom also enjoyed what he called “the patio life” at home. He found so much fun, joy, and relaxation simply sitting on his patio watching TV with a pug or two and chilling with a cold beer or a fresh margarita. Tom, being the good neighbor he is, always made sure that when he was listening to Billy Joel, he had his speaker loud enough so the neighbors could enjoy it as well.

Tom most recently worked for TWL Powersports in Sheboygan. The dealership was sold to new owners in November 2024, and although Tom and the new owner were excited for the future, they only had a few short weeks together before his diagnosis. Throughout his treatments and hospital stays, Tom continued working remotely for TWL. Working with customers on new Lund boats, ATVs, UTVs, and other powersports products, sometimes from his room at St. Luke’s Hospital or from the patio at home.

Prior to the sale, Tom worked for Ride North Powersports beginning in 2018. He started in the Parts Department, stepped into sales during COVID, moved into a full‑time sales role, later became sales manager, and eventually served as co‑GM. Tom found genuine joy in the powersports industry and was deeply grateful to Jordan and Sarah for believing in him and giving him an opportunity in 2018.

Earlier in life, Tom worked for Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers in the security department and spent many years bartending at Saucy’s Sports Bar in Manitowoc.

Tom is survived by the love of his life, his wife Elizabeth, and his two adorable pugs, Hudson and Franklin. Tom would always say he wished he had met Elizabeth earlier in life so he could have loved her longer. He is also survived by his parents Sandy and Jeff Wachowski; parents Mark and Diane Anderson; sister and brother‑in‑law Kimberly and Chris Cremeans; brothers Dustin Wachowski and Brandon (Sadie) Wachowski; nephews Vincent and Leonidas Cremeans; nieces Kennedy and Harper Wachowski; stepbrother Adam (Missy) Fogltanz; father and mother‑in‑law Robert and Joan Kellner; sister‑in‑law Kathryn Kellner; and nieces Olivia, Payton, and Sophia Gomez.

He is further survived by many aunts and uncles including: Godparents Jim and Sharon Ernst; Terry and Lana Ernst; William Ernst; Robert and Laurie Ernst; Richard and Barb Ernst; Kent and Dana Anderson; Scott and Holly Anderson; Wayne and Julie Peters; Doug and Amy MacMillian; Andy and Connie Ogilvie; Lee and Korrine Rozmarynoski; and Mike and Karen Hedman. Many cousins also survive.

Tom is further survived by some very special friends in his life: Greg and Jenny Musil, Brian John, Eric and Rachelle Pollen, Eric and Kristina Salkowski, Derrick and Gina Nordskog and of course his best friend and his wife, Cale and Shelia Beyer.

Tom was preceded in death by his Grandpa Paul Anderson, Grandpa Leonard Ernst, cousin Jason Ernst, Uncle John Ernst, Uncle Greg Wachowski and brother-in-law Matthew Kellner. He was also preceded in death by three of his favorite people whom he could not wait to be reunited with. His Grandmas Verna Ernst, Carol Wachowski and Edie Anderson-Schroeder.

Special thanks to our neighbors Pat and Carrie Dunphy, Darin and Karen Elliot and Bill and Tracy Schultz for assistance with snow removal, firewood, pug-checking and who knows what else over the last 16 months. A huge thank you to our friends Brad and Nicole Fischer for taking great care of our pugs on short notice and being awesome pug parents when needed.
